# Preliminary Court Hearing
in London on U.S. Appeal Against Assange:
On 11th August the U.K. Royal Courts of Justice disappointingly ruled that the U.S. can appeal against the decision not to extradite Julian on all five grounds:

Previously several weeks ago a different High Court judge ruled that the U.S. could only appeal on three grounds in relation to the Extradition Act and their spurious claim that they were not enabled by the lower court to give 'reassurances' about the potential detention of Assange in a U.S. prison. Now as well as these grounds they are also absurdly able to appeal against the medical evidence and expertise on his mental health and risk of suicide!

It was also announced at the Court that the Appeal in full will be heard on 27th and 28th October next.
